From the LARFPA Board of Directors:

Retired Police Sergeant Joe Oliveri needs two volunteer EMTs to help at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s fundraiser walk at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on March 17, 2024, at 0730 hours.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) tirelessly works to find better treatments, preventions, and, ultimately, a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications through critical research. JDRF is an accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency; all donations are tax-deductible.

Joe Oliveri has participated in this walk for over twenty years since his granddaughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He and his wife have chaired the event for several years. They expect approximately 8,000 walkers.

The two volunteer EMTs had to back out at the last minute. He is in desperate need of volunteer EMTs to come forward. The hours will be from 0730 to 1130 hours.

If your EMT certificate is still valid, Joe would appreciate your help. Please reach out to him at joeoliveri@yahoo.com or call him at (818) 439-9469.

The LARFPA Board of Directors would like to thank in advance any member who can help out in this worthy endeavor.
