From LARFPA Treasurer David Marino:

The LARFPA Board has voted to raise membership dues from $5.00 monthly to $7.00 per month, effective January 1, 2024. It has been over 13 years since we last increased your membership dues, and this decision was not an easy one to make. Since its inception, LARFPA’s goal has been to provide you with resources and information and a place to come when you need help. This has always been our focus since 1928, and we hope to continue to serve you for many years to come. We take pride in working hard for you. In the past few years, we’ve grown the Association’s goals by starting the Estate Planning Benefit and a Scholarship Fund. We continue to support our fire and police community and our members in financial need with our Benevolent Fund. We liaise with all related organizations and are actively involved in the decisions that are being made with Worker’s Compensation and Pension Benefits. We continue to provide you with pertinent updates and information through digital publications, social media, our website, and our Quarterly Dispatch magazine. This $2.00 increase will help the Association’s overall mission, which is to operate a social welfare advocacy corporation on a non-profit basis. These funds will benefit the further growth of the Association’s Mission and our desire to encourage social participation among you, our membership. It is LARFPA’s fiduciary responsibility to maintain the Association’s solvency and to ensure the programs we offer to you, the membership, and your families. We appreciate your continued support.
