From LARFPA Director Jose Perez:
Officer Tomelloso and his wife Laura are battling stage 4 cancer. They have two children, Mike Jr. (age 14) and Matthew (age 10), who is home-schooled due to his special needs. Matthew was working with horses as a form of therapy to help with his special needs. Due to Mike and Laura’s health, Matthew is no longer able to attend. Their ongoing medical treatments, surgeries, and hospitalizations have made simple tasks exhausting and, at times, impossible. They have been relying on friends, neighbors, and church members since February 2022, for assistance with everyday tasks and transportation to medical appointments.
On behalf of the Tomelloso family, Central Traffic Division is requesting your support. A Blue Ribbon Trust Fund has been set up at LAPFCU for the Tomelloso family. All funds will be used for medical bills (IOD claim is still pending), groceries, food preparation due to Mike and Laura’s specific dietary needs, regular housekeeping service, and any other unexpected expenses that arise.
