The LARFPA Board of Directors would like to congratulate Fire Fighter Rigo Arellano on his election as the Active Elected Fire Commissioner. The recent election results were announced at the May 5th meeting of the Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension Commission. Arellano begins serving in July once current elected Fire Commissioner Navarro retires.

Commissioner-elect Arellano has nineteen years of service with LAFD. He is assigned to Station 99, on Mulholland Drive, serving the Beverly Glenn neighborhood.

Arellano has a long history of serving the members. He has served on committees with UFLAC for many years. He has extensive knowledge of the medical benefits for active and retirees.

The LARFPA Board of Directors looks forward to working with Arellano to ensure and protect the pension and benefits of active and retirees.
